Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group sponsors McLaren Team

Massimo Zanetti Beverage Group has announced an important visibility project: it is returning once again to Formula 1, twenty years after its previous appearance by the side of the great Ayrton Senna. 

This comeback involves the Segafredo Zanetti brand - visible for many years in the field of motor racing, and particularly in Formula 1 - which since the recent GP in Monza has taken its place on both sides of the spoiler, as well as on the drivers' sleeves. For the GPs in Malaysia, Singapore and Abu Dhabi, however, the spaces on the spoiler will be taken by Boncafé, another brand belonging to the MZB group. Segafredo Zanetti is not new to sponsoring the McLaren team: in the three year period 1984-86 it accompanied three world titles in a row, with Prost and Lauda at the wheel. 

Choosing to sponsor McLaren, therefore, involves renewing a friendship which in the past has brought triumphant results, and also coincides with the major McLaren relaunch project currently underway. McLaren is a classic Formula 1 team which, since it began its activities in 1966, has vied with Ferrari for racing records: 

  • with 182 race wins, it holds the record for most victories (tying with Ferrari which, however, began racing 16 years earlier) 
  • 12 driver championships won, 
  • + 8 constructors championships highest share of TV voice worldwide from 2007 to 2013. 

The new partnership also has a commercial side to it: MZB will become the official supplier to McLaren's prestigious catering group, Absolute Taste Limited, which counts Queen Elisabeth II among its customers.
