FRANCE COFFEE CHAMPIONSHIP 2012

For the fifth year the France Coffee Championships organized by the Association France Cafés Gourmets took place at the Halle Freyssinet, a heritage-listed industrial site in the heart of Paris which hosts many important events.
The national championship competed for the World Barista Championship which was held in Vienna mid June 2012.

The championship brought together the best barista and coffee professionals from all over France.

In the Barista category - the showpiece event - Luca Casadei, Segafredo trainer since 2006, distinguished himself by winning the title of Vice Champion of France 2012. Luca convinced the technical and sensory judges for its expertise and excellence of his work as "coffee sommelier". He has prepared an espresso 100% Costa Rica Tarrazu, rated The Best Espresso of France by these judges.

In the Cup Tasters category, four of our employees participated in challenging their sensory. It was discovered the wrong cup in eight successive triangular and into a limited time; Lelia Letin, quality manager, has reached the semifinals for the second consecutive year.

Segafredo Zanetti France is proud of these involvements which reward the work of a team of experts and crown the individual talents.
